The Perseus WWW Siterevised 1/19/00 Everything on this site is protected by copyright. The Perseus WWW Site, now known as the Perseus Digital Library, has been in operation since the late summer of 1994. Its goal is to provide a version of the Perseus database that complements the CD ROM version currently distributed by Yale University Press. Until the Perseus 2.0 CD ROMs became available from Yale University Press, the WWW version of Perseus was the only source for many materials within Perseus 2.0. Perseus 2.0, Platform Independent version is available from Yale University Press and offers users local (and network) access to many of the materials seen on-line in the Perseus Digital Library. This WWW version of Perseus was developed entirely by project staff at Tufts University. (Perseus Project members at Holy Cross have developed complementary materials that may be found at http://perseus.holycross.edu.) WarrantyWe provide access to this WWW version as an act of collegiality but without any guarantees, implicit or otherwise. We make no gurantees about access to any materials at any time or about the accuracy of any contents of Perseus 2.0 or the Perseus Digital Library.Access PolicyAt the present time, we provide access to as many Perseus materials as possible. The CD ROM version of Perseus contains the 24,000 images, but, due to license restrictions, only a portion of these are available on the WWW site. Many of the images on the Perseus WWW site were not previously published in Perseus 2.0 on CD-ROM.
