Decoration: Exterior: a nude youth squats to right before a white basin (louterion) into which water pours from a white spout at the upper right. He holds a cloak in his right hand and a yellow and red mirror in his left hand at which he gazes. He has earrings, a white necklace, a beaded bandolier, a thigh chain, anklets and boots. His hair is tied with a broad cloth band. Behind at left is a single ivy leaf. There is a red fillet around the rim, tall tongues on the neck, a laurel wreath with yellow berries on the shoulder with a yellow rosette at center. Above the scene is an ovulo, and a large fan palmette on back, flanked by coiling tendrils. Under the handle are Paestan palmette fronds. On semi-circular lid: a phlyax actor walks to left and looks back to right. He carries a crooked cane in his left arm, wears sandals, long sleeves and trousers tinted with brown glaze and a light tunic; a false phallos extends below his cloak. On quadrate lid: the head of a youth to left with a red wreath. On quadrate lid: head of a woman to right, in kekryphalos with radiate stephane, white necklace and earrings. On the underside of the lid, the same thing appears, without the kekryphalos. Figures are outlined in black, with only the background reserved. Shape Description: Unique. The shoulder and upper body from the handles up, including vertical handle, detaches as a lid. False mouth. Three compartments, each with flat lid, one semi-circular, two quarter circles. Grooved stem between foot and body.
