Decoration: Side A: departing or returning warriors in Oscan garb. At right, a mounted warrior rides to left holding a small round shield and a pair of spears in his left hand. He wears a short tunic with a wave pattern around the neck and other embroidered patterns. He also wears a Phrygian helmet with white crest with two tall feathers and boots. A star device decorates his shield. There are white dots on the horse's bridle and chest strap. Advancing toward him at center is a woman in a diaphanous belted chiton, earrings, a radiate stephane, bracelets, and shoes. In her left arm is a large nestoris (trozzella) with yellow handles, possibly meant to be metal because of its chased decor. With her right hand, she offers a wreath to the rider. Between the figures is a tree with leaves and fruit in white and red. At left stands a warrior in a patterned short tunic with cloak over both shoulders, boots, a tall pointed hat of Oscan type, and pair of spears. With his right hand he reaches for the hand of the boy, who seems to point at his hand but doesn't hold anything. All males wear wide belts. The boy wears boots, stephane, and holds a yellow jug. Above the boy, flying toward the standing warrior is a small winged Nike in a belted chiton, boots, necklace, and bracelets. She carries a fillet. There is a wreath at upper left, and in upper right a rosette. Side B: Dionysos, maenad, and satyr. At center, Dionysos, nude except for shoes, fillet, and cloak, looks to left. In his right hand is a phiale, a thyrsos in his left. Running toward him from left is a maenad in a belted chiton with a cloak over her arms, wearing shoes, kekryphalos, and bracelets. She carries a thyrsos and proffers a wreath. Between, a stylized plant is growing. At right is a young satyr with white fillet and shoes, with a flaming torch in his left hand and a situla in his right. In the field are two rosettes. A laurel plant is at right. Meanders and dotted cross squares are used as a ground line. On teh neckis a broad reserved band with an ivy wreath and dotted berries. On one side of the rim is a laurel wreath, on the other a wave pattern. Palmettes appear on the sides of the handle plates. Each scene is framed above by tongues and at the side by degenerate ivy.
