Decoration: Side A: Goddess Athena faces right. Unhelmeted, she wears the aegis over a long spotted chiton of Ionic style with full elbow sleeves and a himation with decorative stripe over her arms. Her right arm is outstretched as if exhorting a hero to action while her left hand carries a spear, point down. Her hair is bound in a fillet with long streamers and falls to the nape of her neck. One foot faces front while the other is turned to the right. Below is a band of meanders.
Side B: A crudely drawn youth, draped in himation, facing right, leans heavily on a staff. Below is a band of meanders.
Inscriptions: TIMOCHSENOS KALOS, "Timoxsenos is beautiful", running vertically downward beside Athena.
Collection History: Formerly in the Warren collection. Purchased, 1925.
