Int.: The hunter is shown running to the right. Over his left shoulder he carries a lagobolon, or yokelike stick, on which are hung a red fox and a black hare. He has red hair and a red beard, and is dressed in a short chiton with a checked pattern of crosses and rosettes. A white dog runs beside him, on his right side (closest to the viewer).

Bérard notes that the representation of hares often has erotic connotations, for they were given as love gifts (Bérard 1989, 75). In this case, however, the scene is simply the return from a successful hunt.
