Bound for Sacramento (1938) is the English translation of Nach dem Sacramento, published in the Swiss town of Aarau in 1855. Meyer begins with his 1849 voyage from New Orleans, continuing with tales of the Mariposa and Trinidad gold mines, Stockton, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Mormon Island. |
