Images of
the Heart Past and Present
The following list of images come from the National Library of Medicine,
History of Medicine Division, in Washington, D.C. The date and correct title
of each image has been given if it was available. This list is by no means
exhaustive. If you would like to search for other images of the heart in the
National Library of Medicine, take the search link below. The numbers I have
assigned here are by my own designation and not that of the Library. Also it
should be noted that many of the images have a diagonal line through it. This
designation was given by the Library to indicate pictures that are either known
or suspected to be copyrighted.
